Background
Oraseya Capital, which is the investment company of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with NQubator, an innovation platform that helps develop tech ventures in their early stage, for the development of early-stage technology startups in the UAE.
The MOU has been signed by senior executives of both firms in the presence of the representatives of both sides. It has been done in order to enhance the alignment between the startup development program and venture capital investment process, which will help achieve the objective of making Dubai the center for the digital economy as set out under the Dubai Economic Agenda.
Under the agreement, NQubator will refer selected startups from its programs and ecosystem initiatives to Oraseya Capital for evaluation. These startups will have completed structured incubation and validation processes designed to enhance their commercial readiness and scalability.
An executive vice president of finance at DIEZ and partner at Oraseya Capital said the partnership reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting high-potential technology startups and reinforcing Dubai’s venture capital ecosystem, adding that working with NQubator allows earlier engagement in the startup journey and stronger investment readiness. NQubator’s founder and chief executive said the partnership strengthens the pathway from early-stage innovation to scalable, investment-ready ventures, noting that connecting founders with an institutional investor improves access to capital, expertise and strategic networks.
Oraseya Capital will assess referred opportunities according to its investment strategy and due diligence framework, while also engaging with NQubator’s ecosystem through mentorship, advisory support, demo days and evaluation panels. The agreement additionally establishes a framework for potential co-investment opportunities, allowing NQubator or its affiliated partners to participate alongside Oraseya Capital in selected funding rounds, supporting the long-term growth of a more competitive technology sector in the UAE.
